Aryton Senna (Linocut Print)
*Previously for sale at £35; now only £25!*
My homage to Brazilian racing legend, Aryton Senna - carved on what should have been his 60th birthday: 21st March 2020.
Senna is generally considered the greatest Formula 1 driver ever and won three world championships in his career. Sadly we never saw his full potential, because he was tragically killed whilst leading the 1994 San Marino Grand Prix. Senna lost control of his Williams F1 car at the notorious Tamburello corner, and crashed into a concrete wall at 140mph. The right-front suspension of the triple world champion's car pierced his ‘lucky’ yellow helmet, and he died instantly. He was only 34
I’ve printed this is classic black on white (limited to 100 editions) but have also done a black on yellow version, by way of tribute to Senna’s famous yellow racing helmet (and one of the Brazilian colours (also limited to 100 editions).
As with all handmade items, each one will vary slightly making it completely unique.
