A signed, hand carved, handprinted woodcut of the stunning Founder's Building at Royal Holloway, University of London, carved in 2019 and limited to only 150 editions.
The beautiful and iconic Founder’s Building, found at Egham’s Royal Holloway, University of London, was commissioned by the philanthropist Thomas Holloway at a cost of £600,000. It was built with the intention of providing university education for women, although male undergraduates have been admitted since 1965. Designed by architect William Henry Crossland, the building was inspired by the Chateau de Chambord and other French chateaux in the Loire. It was built between 1879-87, although the College was formally opened by Queen Victoria in 1886, hence its royal name. It was described as being the "most ebullient Victorian building in the Home Counties" by the Pevsner Surrey, and is now a Grade I listed building.
