‘Balance’ (Linocut Print)

This signed, limited edition Linocut print is the first in a series of wild swimming-related designs I have in the pipeline…

In Spring 2024 I was fortunate to be selected along with 49 other British printmakers to take part in a print exchange with the brief, “balance”. I therefore created my design with a double entendre; partly the obvious symbolism of a heron standing on one leg, but also because open water swimming has helped me find my own inner balance through some pretty tricky years, and it was at Heron Lake where I first discovered my love for wild swimming.

ITEM SPECIFICS:
This design is handprinted onto delicate Mulberry tissue and is a limited edition of just 100 prints.

It is printed with water-based ink on paper approximately A4 in size.
The image itself measures roughly 150x210mm.

As with all handmade items, each one will vary slightly making it completely unique.
